In January of 2002, Country Kids relocated to the newly renovated Rivercourt mill building along the Squannacock river in West Groton. Access to the center and its parking area is through this tunnel, comfortably isolating the pick-up and drop-off area from general road traffic.

Country Kids occupies the near end (as shown to the right) of the first floor in the Rivercourt mill buildings. The rest of Rivercourt is occupied by assisted and independent living apartments for senior citizens, and a daytime senior care center.

Inside, Country Kids is a calculated balance between open spaces for group activities,

open sight lines for efficient care and monitoring,

and comfortable classrooms for learning and playing.

We also have an adjacent playground. This is a fenced-in area with:

• a large sandbox,
• a smooth concrete area for games, playhouses and outdoor toys, and,
• a grassy picnic area.

Children and teachers use the playground every day that weather permits.
